Sketch Stack #11

Winter is on its way

Hello friends,

I’m dropping by with a sketch stack! I had not realized that August was the last time that I’d shared any of these rough working-things-out pages... So here’s a new batch of wintry ice skating sketches for you:

These ice skaters came about because I had grand ambitions of doing a large illustration of a skating rink filled with people, but while I love drawing individual people in motion, I don’t love drawing large crowds, so I got stuck. I may figure out an icy skating illo that I like at some point, but if nothing else, these sketches were a delight to do on their own.

I’ve missed sharing these works-in-progress so there’s more to come… no more multi-month gaps between sketch stacks!
