Sketch Stack #10
Happy Friday, friends.
I’m dropping by with Sketch Stack #10. It’s a bit random and scattered - just like my brain space! But nonetheless, it was helpful for me to re-visit the little windows of time I’d stolen for sketching the past couple of weeks.
When I’m a little helter-skelter and am not wholly focused on what would be helpful to work on, I usually default to drawing people in motion. I’d completely forgotten, however, that I went down a pretty significant rabbit trail of elephant studies as well:
I do have something exciting to share with you though, which I posted about on my instagram at the beginning of the week.
Last weekend I illustrated a quote from Kamala Harris’s DNC speech that struck a strong chord in me:
“The future is always worth fighting for.”
This sentence isn’t so much a political statement as a human statement. It is a choice to persist in hope – no matter the current or projected circumstances.
I’ve made this piece available for purchase in my shop as an 8x10 print & all of the profits are being donated to the Harris Victory Fund.
So many of you have already placed pre-orders (thank you ❤️) & I’m expecting to receive the first delivery from my print supplier this coming week. I’m can’t wait to ship these out to you.
And with that, Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone!
I’m wishing you for you all some well-deserved rest.
